Frosted Creams

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup light cooking molasses
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ginger

Directions

Mix Hot Water and baking soda together. Add molasses, sugar, shortening and egg. Mix well. Add dry ingredients and blend well. Bake in a cookie sheet at 350 until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Frost with a milk and powdered sugar glaze.
