This is a new family favorite. Mom started making them after her and Dad’s trip to the Grand Canyon.

Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 – 2 cups warm water
- 4 tablespoons butter
Directions
Mix flour, salt, baking powder, and oil together. Slowly pour in the warm water while mixing until you have a slightly sticky dough. You want soft dough that is just a little tacky. Cover and let it sit for 2 hours.
Pour melted butter over dough, and kneed slightly. Flour board. Pinch of golf ball sizes of dough, and roll them into thin circles.

Fill a cast iron skillet with about 1 inch of oil. Heat it to 325 degrees. Shake dough circles extra flour off, and fry them on both side in the oil.
