Funnel Cakes

One summer when Dad went back to school, our family went camping for a month. A few mornings we had funnel cakes for breakfast! It was so much fun.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

Mix together all ingredients.  Drizzle mixture into a hot pan of oil or fry daddy.  Crisscross mixture over itself as it cooks.  Cook till golden brown and take out of oil.  Set it on a plate that is covered with a paper towel (to soak up dripping oil).  Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
