Ingredients
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 2 onions
- 4 tablespoons shortening
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 1/2 cups tomatoes
- 1 can mushrooms (optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic
- Pepper
- 8 oz. pkg. uncooked noodles
- 1/4 lb American Cheese (grated)
Directions
Lightly sauté green pepper & onion in 2 tablespoons of the shortening (use deep & large skillet).
Push vegetable aside. Add remaining shortening.
Sauté meat. Combine meat, pepper, & onions.
Add tomatoes, mushrooms, salt, and pepper.
Put into a crock pot and bring liquids to a boil.
Cook noodles.
Serve with cheese on top.
