Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 cup lard
- 1 egg
- a little less than 2/3 cup milk
- 1 cup corn flakes
- 1 medium/large sized apple
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- powdered sugar glaze
Directions
Cut the flour, salt, and lard (like for pie crust). Add 1 egg yolk (keep the white) and enough milk to make 2/3 cup.
Roll out 1/2 of the dough place it in a pan (cookie sheet).
Sprinkle corn flakes on dough. Add 1 sliced apple, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll the rest of the dough, place on top of apples. Pinch edges.
Brush the top with 1 beaten egg white. Bake a 400 about 1 hour. Glaze with powdered sugar glaze.
