This was a favorite quick breakfast when my kids were little. They also loved it because I used a heart shape cookie cutter.
Portia
Use a cookie cutter or a small glass to cut a whole in a slice of bread.
Put a slab of butter in skillet or on a griddle. Let it melt.
Put slice of bread with hole onto melted butter.
Crack an egg into the hole.
Salt and pepper.
Flip to cook the other side.
Serve immediately.
Hint: I make cinnamon sugar toast with the bread from the holes.
