Ingredients
- 1 T pickling salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- ~1/4 tsp powdered alum
- Dill
Directions
Put dill in the bottom of a quart jar. Add cucumbers and garlic (optional). Put more dill on top and add the above ingredients. Fill jar the rest of the way with water. Seal jar with new lid and set in hop water until lid feels hot. When the lid feels hot, the jar should seal properly.
